You are invited to submit your abstract for consideration for presentation in poster format at the 2023 MAD-ID Annual Meeting. The submission deadline is Monday, April 10, 2023 (or earlier if the limit of abstracts is reached).
All abstracts concerning Antimicrobial Stewardship and Infectious Diseases Pharmacotherapy are welcome. Posters remain on display for the duration of the conference, and the abstracts will be included in the meeting materials.
If your poster is accepted, you (or a registered representative whom you assign) must be present at this poster session to answer questions regarding your abstract.
** Please note, the presenting author must be an author on the abstract or it will not be accepted. **
The poster display boards accommodate a maximum poster size of 8’ wide x 4’ tall. Recommended poster sizes are 8’ x 4’ (243cm x 121cm) or 7’ x 3.5’ (212cm x 106cm). Push pins are provided.
Please note all abstracts should be 3250 characters or less. Character count includes abstract title, author name(s) credentials (if included), affiliation(s), city/state, all content entered for Background/Methods/Results/Conclusions, and all spaces. No pictures, figures or diagrams will be accepted.
TRAVEL GRANT ASSISTANCE FOR STUDENTS AND TRAINEES:
A limited number of $500.00 grants for students and trainees are available on a first-come, first-served basis. In addition, the grant recipient will receive complimentary registration to the Annual Meeting.

The requirements to be awarded grant assistance are as follows:
- Only abstracts presenting completed work are eligible; research-in-progress submissions do not qualify for a grant.
- Applicant must be in a full-time training program (residency or fellowship) or a full-time student.
No more than 2 awards may be given to a training program (residents, fellows, or college students) - Applicant must be the first author and must present the poster on Thursday, May 11th at the Scientific Poster Session/Reception.
- Applicant must reside more than 50 miles one-way from Orlando, FL.
- Applicant must agree to attend the entire meeting (from Wednesday, May 10th at 4:00 pm to Saturday, May 13th at 12:30 pm).
Applicant must book their hotel accommodations at the Hyatt Regency Orlando (MAD-ID headquarters hotel).
Both original and encore submissions may receive the grant, however grant approval preference is given to original submissions/presentations.

INSTRUCTIONS TO SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT TO 2023 MAD-ID ANNUAL MEETING:

Note, be sure to “save” your information as you complete each of the tasks – green “check marks” will show next to each task as they are completed
Step 1: Create an account under New Users
Step 2: Click the “Join Now” purple pill button
Step 3: Complete the required information with the red (*) asterisk
Step 4: Enter your personal “access key” for your password
Step 5: Click the “Create Account” purple pill button
Step 6: Read the Privacy Notice, click the Consent box, type your name, and click the “Continue” purple pull button to take you to the abstract submission page
Step 7: Under Abstracts, click “Click here to begin new abstract”
Step 8: Enter all information as requested by the system
Step 9: Under Task List, enter your abstract information and “save” your information after each Task is completed
Step 10: Once all tasks are completed and have green “check marks,” click the “Save Abstract” purple pill button
Step 11: You will see a confirmation on the screen with an Abstract ID number, click “Submit” and you will also receive an email summary of your submission
Step 12: The Scientific Committee will review your abstract submission and you will be notified via email of its approval or if additional information/corrections are needed
When you receive your abstract approval email, there will be instructions on how to upload a PDF of your poster in the CadmiumCD portal.
In this approval email you will also receive a code to use when you register for the meeting to waive your registration fee.
