CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
You are invited by the MAD-ID Annual Meeting Planning Committee to submit your abstract for consideration at the 2021 Annual Meeting being held virtually. The submission deadline is Monday, May 10, 2021 (or earlier if the limit of abstracts is reached).
All abstracts concerning Antimicrobial Stewardship and Infectious Diseases Prevention and Treatment are welcome. Abstracts and posters in a PDF format will be included in the meeting materials available to attendees prior to and during the meeting and will also be available in the meeting app. Your abstract and poster will also be available for viewing on the MAD-ID Annual Meeting site for viewing by the meeting attendees.
Please submit your abstract by completing the abstract form below and submitting via the website portal by Monday, May 10, 2021. If your abstract is accepted for presentation, you will be asked to supply a pdf of your poster.
Please note all abstracts should be 3250 characters or less – character count includes abstract title, author name(s) credentials (if included), affiliation(s), city/state/country (if international), presenting author email, all content entered for Background/ Methods/ Results/ Conclusions, and all spaces. No tables, figures, charts or diagrams will be accepted.
REGISTRATION FEE WAIVER GRANTS FOR FULL-TIME STUDENTS AND RESIDENTS AS WELL AS FELLOWS:
A limited number of $155.00 registration waivers for student and trainees may be available, on a first-come, first-serve basis, and the requirements to be awarded a grant are as follows:
1) Only abstracts presenting completed work are eligible, research in progress submissions do not qualify for a grant.
2 ) Applicant must be engaged full-time in a training program (residency or fellowship) or a full-time student.
3) Applicant must be the first author and be available for questions on their poster.
4) Applicate must agree to attend the entire meeting (Thurs, May 20th at 1:45 pm – Sat, May 22nd at 4:00 pm).
Note, no more than 2 awards may be given to a training program (residents, fellows or students), and both encore and original submissions may receive the grant, however preference is given to original submissions/presentations.

INSTRUCTIONS TO SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT TO MAD-ID:
CLICK HERE TO ENTER THE ABSTRACT SUBMISSION SITE
Step 1: Create an account under New Users
Step 2: Click the “Join Now” blue pill button
Step 3: Complete the required information with the red asterisk (*)
Step 4: Enter your personal “access key” for your password
Step 5: Click the “Create Account” blue pill button
Step 6: Read the Privacy Notice, click the Consent box, type your name and click the “Continue” blue pull button to take you to the abstract submission page
Step 7: Under Abstracts, click “Click here to begin new abstract”
Step 8: Enter all information as requested by the system
Step 9: Under Tasks, enter your abstract information (note, be sure to “save” your information as you complete each of the tasks – green “check marks” will show next to each task as they are completed)
Step 10: Once all tasks are completed and have green “check marks,” click the “Save Abstract” blue pill button
Step 11: You will see a confirmation on the screen with an Abstract ID number, and you will also receive an email summary of your submission
Step 12: The Scientific Committee will review your abstract submission and you will be notified of its approval or if additional information/corrections are needed
Step 14: Information regarding the submission of your PDF poster will be provided via email upon approval of your abstract.
