CANCELLATION OF MAD-ID 2020 ANNUAL MEETING
After actively monitoring the evolving situation with COVID-19 over the last few months and in keeping with our previous messages suggesting that our meeting would likely not move forward, we have come to the difficult decision to cancel the meeting. With the pandemic yet to peak in many locations throughout the country, including Florida, it would not be in the interests of public health to move forward with our meeting, even if we were able to adhere to social distancing and other recommended precautions.
We hope to include many of the topics and speakers scheduled for this year’s meeting at our 2021 Annual Meeting which is scheduled for May 19-22 at the Omni Hotel in ChampionsGate and hope to see you there.
If you had already registered for this year’s meeting:
- MAD-ID will refund 100% of your registration fee.
- If you have made hotel reservations for the meeting with the Omni Hotel, those reservations will be automatically cancelled by the hotel.
- If you submitted an abstract which was accepted for presentation, we will contact you regarding the possibility of posting it on the MAD-ID website.
Cancellation/refund policy (corporate donors, exhibitors, satellite symposia and advisory board sponsors): All registration, exhibitor fees, advisory boards and satellite symposia (less a small processing fee to cover issuing these refunds and recoup expenses, if any, that MAD-ID has incurred in relation to any of these activities up to the time of meeting cancelation) will be refunded.
MAD-ID is an approved provider of continuing pharmacy education and automatically reports to the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy via CPE Monitor. For Florida Consultant Pharmacists, we will report portions of the program that are approved for CE credit to CE broker. Florida pharmacists (general) will have CE credit awarded to EITHER to CE broker or to NABP via CPE monitor. MAD-ID is also accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education (CME) for physicians.
