MAD-ID Announces a Request for Proposals
Antimicrobial Stewardship Research Grants
The MAD-ID Research Network is soliciting applications for proposals designed to advance the practice of and/or demonstrate the value of antimicrobial stewardship. It is anticipated that three grants (funded by MAD-ID [2)] and/or bioMérieux, Inc.  will be awarded. Proposals to be considered include a variety of experimental, observational or quasi-experimental designs. The successful proposal will be an innovative application that advances the science and practice of antimicrobial stewardship.
Applications to this request for proposals should address one or more of the following topics and be aligned with the mission of MAD-ID.
• Reducing antimicrobial resistance
• Improving patient safety
• Improving patient outcome(s)
• Applying antimicrobial stewardship in novel settings
In the case of the MAD-ID / bioMérieux grant, the successful study will be in the area of antimicrobial stewardship, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, microbial detection and identification, or biomarkers.
